National Aptitude Test (NAT) is an All India Level Common Entrance Test administered under the aegis of SAHEI- SRDE's Association of Higher Education Institutions , Delhi. The test is conducted for students at the Under Graduate (NAT-UG) and the Post Graduate (NAT-PG) levels for gaining admission into various Professional, Vocational, Management and Allied programmes at the UG and PG levels.

SAHEI seeks to provide a common test for entrance to various participating Institution's programmes at the UG and PG levels. NAT would not only provide a medium for candidates to seek multiple Institutions with a common test but also allow the Higher Education Institutions to tap the right kind of candidates as its students. SAHEI also offers cash Scholarships and Awards to meritorious candidates based on NAT scores each year.

The Test is an objective type using the OMR technology which has already been vetted by over 70 leading Govt./private recognized Institutions of the country in the year 2009. The applicant scores will be supplied to the respective opted-participating institutions for seeking admission in the respective programme. The students may be asked by the concerned Institution to appear for counseling, group discussion etc. to be fully satisfied of his or her aptitude for the programme concerned before actually offering admission letter.
